Fall is officially here, and with it comes the perfect opportunity to capture beautiful moments with your loved ones. One of my favorite things about fall photography sessions in Lincolnwood is the crisp, cool air and the vibrant colors that seem to make everything look a little more magical. The reds, oranges, and yellows of the changing leaves create such a rich backdrop for photos, and it’s a time of year that really makes people want to get dressed up and celebrate the season.

I had the pleasure of working with an amazing family who had a special event to attend. Instead of waiting until after the event to take family photos, they decided to squeeze in a session before they left. They got all glammed up—dressed to the nines, with everyone looking sharp—and we did a session right outside their home. The beauty of this idea was that we didn’t need to go to a park or a traditional outdoor setting for this session; their own home and its surroundings became the perfect stage for some stunning family photos.

While many people associate fall photography sessions with parks and big open spaces, this one was a great reminder that your own yard or even the street outside your house can be just as beautiful and personal. Sometimes, the best photos come from the places you feel most comfortable and at home, and for this family, capturing their love and connection right outside their door added a special layer of meaning.
