As a Chicago family photographer, I get to witness some truly special moments — and this recent spring session was one of those unforgettable days that remind me exactly why I do what I do. I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful mother and her two daughters in one of Wilmettes most scenic parks, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear we were in for something magical. The trees were in full bloom, bursting with soft pink flowers that looked like something out of a fairytale. The air was warm, the light was golden, and the energy between this mom and her girls was pure joy. We couldn’t have asked for a better backdrop for family portraits in the park.

One of the standout features of this park is a stunning old bridge — the kind that adds timeless charm to any photograph. We used the bridge as a focal point in several shots, framing the family beneath the arch and capturing candid moments as the girls danced and laughed with their mom. The combination of natural beauty, warm spring light, and genuine connection made for some of my favorite images this season.
